It’s A Spring Thing!
Meet Treisa Gary—Your Audition Coach & Secret Weapon
I didn’t create 8 Steps to Working Actor for anyone else—I created it for me. When I wasn’t booking, I needed to understand why. So I started looking at—not just my approach, but the technique behind what makes a performance undeniable. I studied how to break down a script in a way that highlighted me—my instincts, my essence, my unique spark. Because auditions aren’t about “getting it right.” They’re about making a scene pop in a way that only you can. That’s what 8 Steps to Working Actor is designed to do—give you a process to walk into any audition and own the room.
What I discovered? No two actors are the same. We all have different strengths, challenges, and timing in our careers. That’s why I teach this method privately—it’s the best way to give each actor exactly what they need to transform their auditions into bookings.
Yes, it can be taught in a group, but I’ve found that working one-on-one (or in small, focused settings) is where real breakthroughs happen. That’s where actors feel the shift, not just intellectually understand it.
So if you’re ready to tap into your own unique craft, sharpen the instincts that set you apart, and step into every audition fully prepared—let’s work together.

FAQ’s
Have questions? Here’s everything you need to know about how my audition coaching can help you book more roles.
-
I help you break down your sides, find dynamic choices, and deliver an audition that feels authentic, alive, and bookable. We’ll also work on confidence, mindset, and any energetic blocks that might be holding you back.
-
Sessions typically run 1 hr, but in the actors’s best interest, I prefer 1.5 hours. We focus on breaking down the scene, making strong choices, and refining your performance. We’ll also touch on mindset and strategy, so you leave feeling confident.
-
Audition coaching is laser-focused on a specific role or audition. Unlike a class, which builds skills over time. A coaching session is about making your best choices in the moment—so you walk into the room (or hit "record") fully prepared and in control.
-
I offer both! Virtual sessions allow me to coach actors from anywhere, and they’re great for self-tape prep. If you're local, we can do in-person sessions as well. I actually prefer in-person. That’s why I come to you! It’s important for an actor to be in their own energetic space while rehearsing.
-
I come to you, so have your sides handy! If you don’t have an audition, we can work on monologues, self-tape techniques, or even general audition prep. Let me know and I will bring sides for you to work on.
-
Absolutely! A great audition isn’t just about the moment—it’s about being consistently prepared. We can work on honing your skills so that when an opportunity arrives, you’re ready. Some of my clients also choose to do an energy healing. We can talk about that when we jump on a call.
-
To book an appointment, you can pay online and I’ll call you to set up a time that works for both of us. Also, I like to hear your voice and get a taste of your energy beforehand. Also, you can always email or text me (818) 940-0194) first if you like and I’ll get you a link. I like to be very personal though.
You must cancel 24 hrs in advance or full payment is due. I will allow reschedules though if it’s the night before.
-
I believe in guiding you toward YOUR best choices, not just feeding you mine. I’ll challenge you to explore deeper layers of the character while keeping the performance authentic to you.
-
Yes! But only if I coach you for the audition. We can refine your self-tape performance, help with framing, lighting, and even adjust for different casting expectations. I do have a self tape program where we can focus on just that if you’re interested in mastering it for consistency.
-
Absolutely. A huge part of booking roles is how you show up energetically. We’ll work on techniques to shift your mindset so you walk into every audition feeling powerful, prepared, and undeniable.
-
Yes! Callbacks require a different kind of preparation, and chemistry reads are all about connection. We’ll make sure you’re bringing the right energy to each.

I’m 100% successful at delivering what you need to be a viable candidate for the job. My clients have booked co-star to series regular roles in TV and major supporting roles in film. I do not coach for commercials or theater. I keep my clients private because they like it that way, but I will share some of them when we work together. NDA’s are real. But if you check me out on IMDB, I think you’ll be impressed. Some have started with 1 or 2 credits and after taking my technique, their resumes are similar to mine. Some even better!
-
Not at all. Whether you're new or seasoned, my coaching meets you where you are and helps you level up. However, if you haven’t taken any acting classes, then I’m probably not for you unless you’re just a natural. Let’s talk about it.
-
You’ll get real-time feedback during our session, but I also make sure you leave with clear next steps so you can keep refining your performance. And yes, I love for you to call me immediately after so that I can free your energy to go on with your day.
